yoU COME Festival – Unesco Cities Of Music Event is the new format promoted by Bologna and Pesaro, the two UNESCO Creative Cities of Music in Italy, with the aim to disseminate, through a concrete action, the role and the importance of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
The event will take place in two different appointments: the first on June 13 in Fabriano, at Giardino del Poio, during the XIII UNESCO Creative Cities Network Annual Conference [Fabriano 10-15 giugno 2019] and the second on June 14 in Bologna, starting from 8 p.m. on the stage of Montagnola Republic (Parco della Montagnola), as part of Bologna Estate 2019, the summer programme of events and activities promoted and coordinated by the Municipality of Bologna.
The stage will welcome bands and musicians representing the different cities belonging to the Music cluster of Unesco Creative Cities network: Equilíbrio (Amarante, Portugal) will open the bolognese event, followed by Max Bravura (Katowice, Poland), Tinatin (Hannover, Germany), Okkupeerder (Ghent, Belgium) and, at the end, the singer-songwriter Cimini, well-known artist in the Italian independent scene, in quality of Ambassador for Bologna and Pesaro.
The music genres will range from rock to hip hop, from jazz to singer-songwriter music.
Both events are on free admission.
The music line-up was defined through a call launched among UNESCO Creative Cities of Music, to select artists who represent the local scene, with no distinction of music genre. To do that, a shortlist out of 26 applications was drawn by a commission including delegates from Pesaro, Fabriano, Bologna and the two music journalists Luca Petinari and Pierfrancesco Pacoda.

For the native Georgian, Tinatin Tsereteli, music has always been an important object of her everyday life. The taste in music at home is shaped by jazz and pop-records from Ella Fitzgerald to the Beatles (a rarity in the then Soviet-influenced country) as well as the multi-voiced singing of the Georgian Songs, which is a matter of course in the family. At the age of 5 she gets her first violin lessons, at 6 her intense piano training begins. Due to the civil war, in 1993, aged 11, she migrated to Germany with her family, where her own voice is her only consolation and a musical means of expression from that time on. Neverthless it is only during her university studies that she discovers her own sense of songwriting and her vocal potential inspiring by singers like Erikah Badu and India Aria.
Okkupeerder is an experimental live hiphop-jazz band based in Ghent. The combination of two official country languages – Dutch and French – gives the listener of Okkupeerder a real Belgian feeling. This hiphopjazz band melted a wide pallet of musical genres into their own organic sound. Their vibe made us think of the well-known combination between Le Motel and Romeo Elvis. The attentive listener of this band will also hear influences of Turkish music, classical music, EDM and even some rock-sounds are to be discovered. Their lyrics sound like an -often critical- poetic approach of everyday life in the modern day cities. Subjects vary from solidarity, equality to racism and politics but also love and small recognizable things that make us all happy. In March 2019 Okkupeerder has released their second album called ‘Ergens Onderweg’. with mor analog electronical influences.
