“Repetition, groove and a bizarre singing-songwriting”. According to frontman Pier Danio Forni, these are the bases on which the Husky Loops are founded. “We can be aggressive or intimate, we play with polar opposites”.
Founded in London by Pier Danio Forni (guitar), together with Tommaso Medica (bass) and Pietro Garrone (drums), the band coming from Bologna has already released a mixtape and three EP’s. Latest of which, SPOOL, was released by 30th Century Records, thanks to legendary producer Danger Mouse (Gorillaz, Black Keys, Gnarls Barkley).
During their only two years of activity, the Husky Loops have gone on more than 10 tours, all across Europe, with sold out shows in London, Amsterdam, Bologna, and playing as a support band of artists like Placebo, David Byrne, The Kills, Spoon, and many more.
The versatility of their music has attracted other partnerships, like the one with the photographer Rankin and with the ballet star Sergei Polunin, beside having their song Everytime I run be included in the FIFA 19 game soundtrack, thus giving the band a worldwide visibility on the media.
The band is going to be touring the United States for the first time in March 2019.
