The BLUE PENGUIN formed in 1998 by the meeting of singers and musicians coming from different experiences within choral matters and musical ones. The line up is composed by 9 mixed male/female voices. All tracks are performed “a cappella”, which means to reproduce the sounds of musical instruments without any other support.
BLUE PENGUIN performed all through Italy and joined important european festivals and competitions. They have been recentely selected to take part into the A Cappella Festival in Hannover, May 2018, curated by Hannover, member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
They have released several CDs (Nine bello zero, Pengeris, L’uccellino della radio) and a children’s audiobook (Conte incantate by Fatatrac). As a tribute to their homeland, the ensemble has produced a song dedicated to one of the most important dishes of Bolognese cuisine: the Tortellini!
