To the sound of museums is one of the many initiatives organised by the City Institution “Bologna Musei” to let children become familiar with the language of music, then make them learn about new spaces and experience new ways of expression.
This is a special guided visit, taking place in the week from July 29th to August 2nd, to discover the Collections of the Museum of Music in a curious way: the children attending, on the ground of a few special hints, will go through the various rooms of the Museum in search of musical scores, portraits and the most peculiar and odd instruments, then go deeper into the features, the stories, the oddities linked to every single musical object.
MAMbo (Bologna Museum of Modern Art) and Bologna Museum of Music will become places where to experience the many relations between music and contemporary art, among papers, plastics and everyday objects that will turn into unusual instruments to play together, and noises, sounds, pieces of music that will translate into signs and lines, to build up personal rhythmic paintings.
