Play: The Teatro Comunale di Bologna’s 2017 season of opera, dance and concerts is made up of a dialogue between the melodramatic repertoire the 19th Century and works of contemporary opera; enjoy new stagings thanks to important national and international coproductions and the important work of a network of local artists and companies.
The new lyrical seson of Bologna’s Opera House starts on Friday 20th January, 8pm, with a production of Mozart’s Singspiel Die Entführung aus dem Serail K 384, produced by the Teatro Comunale in collaboration with Aix en Provence Festival and the Musikfest Bremen. The 2017 season will close in December with a performance of Tosca, a coproduction of Bologna’s Teatro Comunale and Turin’s Teatro Regio.
14 concerts make up the symphonic season, including music by Schubert, Mozart, Bartòk and Mendelssohn.
