Hannoverwas recognized as UNESCO City of Music in 2014. The city’s aim has always been to promote art and every genre of music. Hannover is the birthplace of the vinyl developed by Emil Berliner and the place where the first music cassette was produced and where the first CD was pressed.
A Cappella Contest will take place from 9-12 May 2018 in Leipzig. It’s aimed at young vocal ensembles, with or without amplification, consisiting of between 3 and 8 members. The average age must not exceed 29 years. Deadline 20th Jan 2018

At the end of the 2018-19 evaluation process, UNESCO has designated as Creative Cities new 64 cities. The new Italian cities are four: in the fields of gastronomy (Alba), crafts (Carrara), literature (Milan) and music (Pesaro).
For 2018, the city of Hannover would be delighted to invite an ensemble of “A Cappella” music from Cities of Music Network.
