Bologna Festival is a music festival that takes place every year thanks to the work of the NGO Bologna Festival. Over the years some of the most important international orchestras, solo artists and chamber music ensembles have performed within the festival. Bologna Festival is divided into two sections: the Spring section known as “Great performers“, focused on classical-romantic music and on 20th century music, where the most important international composers perform; and the Autumn section “The New Ancient“, which revolves around contemporary music and music that dates back to the Renaissance and Baroque period. In Spring another festival takes place: “Talents“, a chamber music festival dedicated to young and emerging artists. The section “Baby BoFe’” is a classical music festival for children aged 3 to 11, with music performances to help them familiarise with music. And finally there is the “Note sul registro” section which aims to bring young people closer to classical music.
