In the splendid landscape of the Apennines between Bologna and Pistoia, the “Porretta Soul Festival” is celebrating its thirtieth edition, an unmissable event for soul and blues enthusiasts.
As it has traditionally been for thirty years, from 23rd to 30th July 2017, Porretta Terme will be coming to life with rhythm & blues artists from all over the world and especially from the United States, the cradle of these genres.
The rich programme will also celebrate 100 years since the birth of Rufus Thomas, the renowned soul artist and supporting column of the festival.
Ricky Fanté, Willie Hightower, Scott Sharrard, Vasti Jackson and many others international artists will perform on the notes of “Rufus Thomas is back in town”: they will fill the streets of this small town of music and art again.
Thanks to the “Porretta Soul Festival” and the far-sightedness of its founder, Graziano Uliani, love for music blends in with the enhancement of the Apennines territory, which gives the events an exceptional scenery.
