From Friday 1st until Sunday 3rd May 2015, Budrio is hosting the 8th edition of Ocarina International Festival. The festival is a rich program of events, like concerts, street music performances, exhibitions, folk dancing and a lot more.
For the eighth time, Budrio turns into the capital of a small population of artists and ocarina lovers, who every two years make a kind of pilgrimage there, to see where the ocarina was born, meet ocarina players from other parts of the world, but especially play the ocarina all together. Even this year, the program of events includes many guests, musicians and ocarina makers coming from every part of Italy and from Japan, France, USA, South Korea, China, Philippines, Moldavia, Sweden, Netherlands, Belarus, Great Britain, Norway, Germany, Austria.
In particular, be there on Saturday 2 May 2015: at 9.00 p.m., a special concert will take place in the Teatro Consorziale, the consortium theatre of Budrio, featuring the GOB – the Budrio Ocarina Group, and some soloists coming from all over the world. The Japanese musician Sojiro, honor guest of the Festival, will be awarded by the Municipality of Budrio for its commitment in spreading the knowledge of the ocarina around the World.
