The tenth edition of Artelibro Bologna is getting started: the annual Art Book Festival will take place this year from 19th to 22th September in Piazza Nettuno, in the prestigious building of Palazzo Re Enzo and Palazzo del Podestà.
The theme proposed this year is “Music for the eyes. Collectors at work”, and the rich programme of the Festival will of course include several music shows and concerts. Lots of musicians will perform during the exhibition days, starting with Felicia Bongiovanni (soprano) and carrying on with artists like Arianna Fantin and Francesco Guerri, from the Italian background.
It will be a true market-exhibition, with the presence, also this year, of A.L.A.I. (Italian Association of Antique Booksellers), one of the long-standing partners of the Festival: they will show, sometimes sell, their precious books, ancient documents, magazines, art-books and a lot more.
The latest innovation this year will be the section dedicated to digital art publishing: a space where visitors can directly interact with electronic devices like iPads and e-books, and virtually travel around the world thanks to the special apps created by modern structures of excellence such as the Tate Modern in London and the MoMA in New York.
