Bologna and Mannheim are strengthening their partnership. On Saturday 21st March 2015, roBOt, the leading event in Bologna as for electronic music and visual arts, will be part of the B-Seite festival in Mannheim, presenting three audio-video performances: SPIRE feat. Carlotta Piccinini, Godblesscomputers + Piier and the Δfter Crash – all of them being Bologna-branded projects. Live music and screen videos will merge into a unique blend of sounds and images, into a deep exploration of any possible contamination between the two artistic genres.
The B-Seite festival is overlapped and matched with another event taking place in the German city, i.e. the Jetztmusik Festival, the yearly festival combining electronic music with many other art forms, like cinema, literature, dance and performing arts. The roBOt festival itself, and the city of Bologna, will attend the Symposium section, that includes talks and conferences. RoBOt will join the “Managing Networks” round table, dedicated to the supervisors of art, music and culture festival, while the Bologna city will attend the “Collaboration in International Networks!” round table, enlivened by a few representatives of UNESCO Cities of Music.
The B-Seite festival of Mannheim, partner with roBOt in the international network AV Node and come now to its 8th edition, will offer samples of all modern visual arts – video art, computer art, interactive projections and light design – exploring the intersections of the media with big international guests and a mix of performances, exhibitions, conferences and workshops.
