La Strada del Jazz, from September 13th to 15th 2019, at his ninth edition is first of all a social event: a moment of pure freedom, an opportunity to meet people, to socialize, to participate to Bologna social and cultural life.
La Strada del Jazz is also a big musical, cultural and local marketing event, where big musicians and small jazz bands make a great intergenerational and intercultural union possible.
The Festvival has its climax in the laying of the marble stars on the central streets Orefici/Caprarie, dedicated to great interpreters who played in the city during the golden years of Bologna Jazz Festival by Alberto Alberti.
The star of this year is dedicated to Gerry Mulligan, and Andrea Mingardi, Strada del Jazz award 2019, will be the testimonial.

During the three days, Friday 13th, Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th, September 2019, the Quadrilatero will be offering lots of swing concerts and dance. A specific focus on the dance in Piazza Re Enzo, corner with via Rizzoli, where everybody will be able to dance Lindy Hop and blues sessions, with live music.
La Strada del Jazz was born from an idea of Paolo Alberti and Gilberto Mora, sponsored by the Quadrilatero, Municipality of Bologna – Bologna UNESCO City of Music, with the support of Bologna Welcome, Carisbo Foundation and Del Monte, Confcommercio, Ascom Bologna and private sponsor “Amici della Strada del Jazz”.
