From August 10th to 13th the Gruppo Ocarinistico Budriese (G.O.B.) will be one of the guests of the Ocarina Festival in Linyi, China. The tour will end on August 24th with a date at the prestigious Performing Arts Center in Beijing, along with the world’s greatest ocarina soloists: Sojiro the most famous ocarina player in Japan, and Zhou Zileri, the greatest ocarina player in China.
China and South Korea, with more than one million performer in both countries, are two of the countries where Ocarina is most played. For G.O.B they represent a great opportunity to perform in front of a constantly growing international public of ocarina lovers.
The performances will be focused on the execution of live Neapolitan songs taken from the recent G.O.B.’s CD “BELLO! OCARINA”, produced by Respect Records of Kenichi Takahashi and much sought by the many fans who have witnessed the events of the Japanese tour.
After four sold-out dates and the enthusiasm generated during the tour in January in Japan, the G.O.B. has resumed its travels to the Far East with a tour in South Korea. It is the third time that the GOB performs in South Korea (the first in 2011 and the second in 2012 with the participation in the Festival Ocarina of Honseong). On that occasion, the virtuoso Korean instrumentalist, Lee Daho, has been part of the Septet of Ocarinas, that performed in the following cities:
9 May (Friday) Theatre Hongju, Hongsung
10 May (Saturday) Ansan Art Center, Ansan
11 May (Sunday) Sori Art Center, Jeonju
14 May (Wednesday) KuemJeung Art Center, Busan
15 May (Thursday) Theatre Susug Artpia, DaeGu
17 May (Saturday) JeJu Art Center, JeJu Island
At the end of the tour Emiliano Bernagozzi, the arranger of the group, has remained in South Korea to carry out ocarina training courses and Master Classes.
