Next October the guitar player Giordano Passini will be on tour in Brazil with 10 concerts and 5 Master Classes including a stop in Salvador as ambassador of Bologna Creative City of Music.
The tour will continue in February 2018 in Japan with concerts in Tokyo, Osaka and Hamamatsu.
The cosmopolitan activities of Giordano Passini contributed to the worldwide visibility and reputation of the Claxica Festival, an international festival devoted to classic guitar held every summer on the Bolognese Apennines and promoted by the musical association Ousia Armonica whose artistic director is Giordano Passini.
The next festival edition in July 2018 will feature the Belgian musician Johan Fostier, one of the best guitar players of his generation. Fostier works as a teacher at the conservatory of Gent, Creative City of Music, and in 2001 he won the GFA, the world’s most important international guitar contest.
The tour by Giordano Passini and the Claxica Festival is part of a list of 19 projects selected within a call for the internationalisation of the Bolognese music scene 2017/18, aimed at supporting the international activities of musicians and music professionals through their participation in foreign exchange programmes, festivals and tours.
