On December 13th, at Auditorium de la Cité de la Musique in Strasbourg, FontanaMixensemble from Bologna presents SERENATE PER MADERNA, a new production which revolves around the figure of Bruno Maderna.
The project was structured on the collaboration between FontanaMixensemble and the Accroche Note ensemble from Strasbourg and it was conceived to honour the 40th anniversary of Maderna’s death. The programme is based on three of Maderna’s works which are examples of the instrumental genre Serenata, therefore with characteristcs that are both light and dark at the same time.
The programme also presents, in addition to the Venetian Maestro’s works, four new original pieces all dedicated in different ways to the figure of Maderna, composed by Paolo Aralla, Igor Ballerau, Gilberto Cappelli and Marco Antonio Perez Ramirez.
The first performance will take place on December 13th at Auditorium de la Cité de la Musique in Strasbourg and a rerun will occur in Bologna in the spring.
The new production was also supported by Comune di Bologna and by Festival Suona Italiano, a project which promotes Italian Music in France and was conceived similarly to the twin production Suona Francese.
