The International Choral Festival “Città di Bologna” is back in town, like every two years, from 31st May to 25th October 2014. Organized by Euridice Choral Society in Bologna and now come to its 9th edition, the Festival, will especially focus on choral music styles which characterised the 20th and 21st centuries.
Among the many concerts in programme, beside the presence of choirs from Bologna and province, it’s worth mentioning in particular the English chorus of Fairhaven Singers from Cambridge and the Vocalia Consort from Rome, which will perform in some of the most important venues of the city. Within the programme, also the concerts conducted by the participants of the permanent training course named “CHORUS”, which is organized every year by Coro Euridice.
As for the past editions, the cooperation between Italian choirs and choirs for all over the world continues, so as to create a fundamental heritage of music experiences as far as interpretation and composition are concerned. The Festival is not only meant to bring concerts to the big audience, but also to maintain an important connection with the educational activities aimed at getting closer to music operators and be an inspiration to them.
