From 8 to 15 June 2017, three young soloists from the BenTiVoglio Orchestra of the Bentivoglio (BO) music school “Il Temporale” will travel to Cuba to bring their music abroad. Flautist Eva Brigliadori, cellist Luca Dondi and violinist Federica Franchi, with their conductor, flautist and ocarinist prof. Emiliano Bernagozzi and the singer violinst prof. Marzia Baldassarri will play famous pieces from the great Baroque tradition of Vivaldi and the sublimation of the Italian melody of Morricone in collaboration with Italian music students of the school Dante Alighieri of Havana
The bolognese musicians will also visit the Conservatory Amedeo Ròldan of Havana where they will play together with The Symphonic Youth Orchestra and the Jazz Band.
The project “CuBo – Youth Orchestras between Cuba and Bologna ” – opens for the first time the intercultural dialogue overseas: around this stay there is an increasing interest with always new proposals of meetings and concerts in mixed contexts, confirming that in Havana music is in the air and you just have to go out to meet a thousand opportunities to practice it.
CuBo – Giovani Orchestre in rete tra Cuba e Bologna is one of the 19 projects selected in the call for the internationalisation of Bolognese music 2016/17, to help musicians, artists and other workers to perform on an international stage, through participation in festivals, tours and exchanges.
