After the summer break, Musica in Fiore, returns from the 2 October to 4 December 2016 starting at 16.30 in the beautiful locations of Cappella Farnese and Sala Bossi.
Developped in collaboration with the Comune of Bologna and the Istituzione Bologna Musei, Musica in fiore is a series of concerts run by the Musical Conservatory “Giovan Battista Martini”. It is made up of two short seasons, in spring and autumn. The best students from the singing, composition and instrumental classes perform to a regular audience in this series of concerts of music from a large range of periods, places and styles: from hugely sophisticated guitar music to more diverse groups, from Baroque to contemporary.
“La fortuna dei cent’anni” takes place between October and December and is dedicated to composers and works celebrating an important anniversary. The project is curated by Annarosa Vannoni. It starts on the 15 October, at 5pm: the historical Sala Bossi will host “From Mozart to Debussy in one breath”, the opening event of the cycle. In the programme there is also music by Mozart, Weber, Delibes, Debussy, Saint-Saens, Offenbach, Mascagni, Gounod, Beethoven and Rossini. The latter’s “Barber of Seville” will be performed by the Symphony Orchestra, for the 200th anniversary of its first performance. The 2016 edition of “La fortuna dei cent’anni” is part of an event linked to a project of valorization of via Zamboni and boasts the the contribution of the Fondazione del Monte e di Unicredit.
