The 2016-17 musical season of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna and Genus Bononiae Musei nella città comprises of concerts in Santa Cristina and San Colombano.
Concerts in Santa Cristina
The concert season of Musica in Santa Cristina is in its 9th year: in 2007, the church was reopened after a thoughtful restoration that made it once again possible to view the works of art kept there. The program of this new edition has been realised thanks to the collaboration of the Regia Accademia Filarmonica of Bologna, l’Accademia Pianistica of Imola, l’Associazione Conoscere la Musica, il Collegium Musicum Almae Matris e l’Orchestra e il Coro Femminile del Teatro Comunale di Bologna.
Concerts in San Colombano
The 7th edition of “Music in San Colombano” comprises of a series of monthly concerts on instruments from the Tagliavini Collection, from October 2016 to June 2017; musical afternoons (small concerts given by students from Italian and international Conservatories) and a lecture series in the Oscar Mischiati library.
As in previous years, the 2016/17 season at San Colombano aims to draw attention to the old musical instruments of the collection. In addition to evening concerts there will be lectures, seminars and musical afternoons involving the collaboration of the Musical Conservatory and other important musical schools and institutions from Italy and Europe.
