Held in Mannheim, Germany, the first time in 1999, Enjoy Jazz 2014 is offering young cultural managers an exchange workshop with renowned researchers and creative artists from the whole world for the third time now. The International Symposium, titled At the Boundaries of Sound, will take place from 03 to 05 October at the Mannheim Pop Academy and offers participants a top class programme. Among the artists the world-renowned writer and urban planner Charles Landry curate the symposium together with Rainer Kern. From Bologna, a personality from the musical italian enterprise scenery, Gianluca Giusti from Sfera Cubica a music cooperative matched with Trovarobato the well known Record Label from Bologna will take part to the workshop. In several lectures, participants have the opportunity to explore the question of where and how the borders of music and sound are located, and which factors influence them. It facets span from cultural political moments to considerations in architecture and urban planning to psychological-medical fields and theoretical-philosophical questions, such as the creation of cultural identities.
