Thanks to the exchange programme promoted by CEMI, the music education centre in Bologna, including the participation of the J.S. Bach Musikschule of Leipzig and following the celebrations held in Leipzig in June 2012 for the 50th anniversary of the twinning, the young musicians of the two twinned cities will perform from 27 to 29th September in Bologna, with the support of the Municipality, in 3 free public concerts.
Friday 27th at 6 p.m., in the beautiful Biagi Auditorium of Salaborsa library, the young orchestras of both schools will play together for the opening concert of “Origins 2013”, the big event included in the European Researchers’ Night and taking place simultaneously in Bologna, Geneve and Paris. The concert will include special pieces recalling the sounds of the project “Origins”, and will go on live streaming in the various partner cities of the event.
Saturday 28th at 6 p.m., the orchestra “under 14” of the J.S. Bach Musikschule of Leipzig will hold a concert in the Goethe-Zentrum, via De’ Marchi 4.
And last, but not least, Sunday 29th, in the suggestive framework of Cappella Farnese, in Palazzo d’Accursio, the two young orchestras of Leipzig and Bologna will perform together again in the big closing concert.
