From 30 June to 2 July 2017, Bologna is taking part in the XI Annual Meeting of the UCCN network, hosted this year by the French city of Enghien-les-Bains.
Designated as UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts in 2013, Enghien-les-Bains was chosen by the members cities to host the Annual Meeting on the general topic Creativity towards Sustainable Cities: Designing public spaces in the digital age.
Representatives from all the 116 member cities will attend the Meeting with the objective to exchange up-to-date information on activities carried out by cities to implement the objectives of the Network, both at the local and international level, and to develop new city-to-city partnership initiatives, as well as to discuss the Network’s strategy and operations and agree upon important matters related to future developments.
Among the various initiatives included in the programme, the Mayors’ Forum will offer an important platform for city’s leaders to exchange views on a selection of topics, including how to match the activities carried out by member cities with the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the New Urban Agenda.
