Also this year, “Voices from the Beyond”, the Project of AngelicA – International Festival of Music, is coming again, for its 7th edition.
In the fabulous background of Palazzo Sanguinetti, seat of the Music Museum of Bologna, in the days of Friday 29th and Saturday 30th November, two dates will be proposed, under the title of “History of Cucamonga”, a tribute to Captain Beefheart, one of the biggest exponent of experimental American rock, and a tribute to the polyhedral artist Frank Zappa, who’s considered one of the most famous musical genius of XX Century.
The festival, as usual, is under the directed by the expert Walter Rovere, and it’ll present the showing of “Captain Beefheart – Under Review” (UK 2006) and “Frank Zappa – A Pioneer Of The Future Of Music” di Frank Scheffer (ND 2007), two films in first Italian vision, with subtitles.
At the dates, that are both free entry, it will be the presence of the rock critic Riccardo Bertoncelli, who made the complete translation of Frank Zappa’s lyrics for the publication Arcana and the “Zappa Memorial Barbecue” for the Salon of Music of Torino.
The showings and the meetings will take place on 29th and 30th November, at 5.45 p.m., at the Conference Hall of the Music Museum of Bologna, in Strada Maggiore 34.
